The mutt mingling is free for both humans and dogs, and with guests and locals both encouraged to attend. The pups can sample complimentary dog bones, snacks, and bottled water, while humans are tempted with a cocktail from the hotel’s Phi Bar and Bistro. One dollar of every drink sold will be donated to the San Diego Humane Society—which is where Lab mix Sandie was adopted from. Added bonus: you can get sozzled while still feeling good about yourself.

There are a few rules for the Canine Cocktails party: Dogs should be kept on leash, away from the bar, and keep paws off the tables and chairs. But overall, Hotel Indigo has few restrictions on pets (a rarity in the hotel world): There are no additional charges, security deposits, or even size limits for pets traveling with guests.
Seeing this photo of Sandie frolicking with a canine guest in the hotel’s reflecting pool only solidifies our approval of the Hotel Indigo’s pet-friendliness.

Canine Cocktails will be served on Tuesdays until December 29.
