Hotel Le Bristol's New Wing Goes Easy On The Florals

We’ve been wondering a while what the new wing at the Hotel Le Bristol would look like, and finally we know.Or, rather, we know what the suites are looking like, unless they’re expecting their guests to bed down on those fancy little chairs. (And speaking of the chairs, why so many?)
Whatever. It’s a little less fancypants than we were expecting, so that’s definitely a good thing – looks like they’ve struck the right balance between clean and dull, with the ghastly florals kept modern-looking and minimal. We’re liking the columns – although assuming we wouldn’t get them in a standard room.
Another suite pic (those wall chandeliers are fly):
What we would like to see, though is a sofa. We’re crossing our fingers that one’s just out of shot.
And the brand new restaurant, 114 Faubourg, run by three-Michelin-starred chef Eric Frechon, looking, um, bright. No wonder they called it an “unconventional setting”.
And the price? Rooms start at €750 ($1,108) so you’re best off going for the Celebrate Le Bristol’s Extension package: room, dinner and a bottle or champagne for €800 ($1,183). Posh dinner for two for just $83? A (relative) bargain.
