Bookable Rooms at The Borgata for $99

This year's most auspicious date - 9-9-09 - is fast approaching, and although we ended up pretty unimpressed by the Mondrian's virtually-unbookable $99 deal in Hollywood, we're hoping that the $99 specials at Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa and The Water Club at the Borgata in Atlantic City work out better.

There are three parts to the Borgata's 9-9-09 promotion, the first being the same $99 room deal offered by the Mondrian � but better, because when we checked the online reservations we actually found plenty of $99 rooms, and you don't even need a special code.

The Spa Toccare and Immersion at the Borgata is also in on the deal, with $99 treatments from September 7 through 30, including a Swedish massage or a pomegranate body wrap. And the final 9-9-09 excitement comes from the chance to win $999 on the special day itself � every nine minutes between midday and 9.00pm on September 9, a guest who's got to the casino and inserted their My Borgata Card into a slot machine will win $999.

Cheap rooms plus the chance to win even more cash sounds like a nice way to celebrate the 9-9-09 quirkiness. The $99 deal runs for Sunday to Thursday bookings up until September 30.<
