Wanna rub shoulders with these two? Yeah, we don't want to either.

Go ahead. Say it. Just like we're too old for most reality shows, we're too old for the VMAs. Young kids don't want the likes of us around them, trying to get into their groove thang with our beepers and our Cross Colors shortalls. (See, we just dated ourselves.) So that's why we promise to stay away.

But whether you like it or not, MTV's Video Music Awards are coming back to New York on September 13th, with British comedian Russell Brand set to host again. Also making a comeback? Free swag! Swag at events like the VMAs, the Grammys and the Oscars came under scrutiny by the IRS a little while ago forcing celebrities to start actually paying for some stuff. (We know! That's like, inhumane.)

Yet the fear must have subsided because we just got a press release for a VMA gifting suite at the most unexpected hotel in New York.

The Pierre Hotel, something even older than us (but with some facial work), is hosting a VMA Gifting Suite the night before the VMAs. It's described as a "treasure trove packed with luxury brands" to select guests. Here's what to expect when you hit up the hotel's presidential suite on the 39th floor for the event:

Brands include Zirh Men’s Skinwear, 901 Silver Tequila, Phillipe by Phillipe Chow, Mandarin Oriental Resort, Amanyara Resorts, Butter London, Get Glam! With Ryan Darius, Apollo Jets, Pure Yoga and much more.

And if you happen to be a celebrity, you will even get free shuttle service, courtesy of Land Rover and Jaguar. Yay, all is right in the world again when celebrities get more free stuff!

But we sorta think that regular hotel guests should also get entrance to this free-for-all event as well as complimentary transportation. After all, room rates the night of Sept. 12 and 13 start at $520 a night (before taxes.)

The swag suite is being presented by YouAreonTheList.com, described as a virtual private social club and Luxe Concierge, a luxury travel planner. Interested in attending? Contact Nashid Braswell at nasbras@gmail.com and 732-984-8321 or events@youareonthelist.com.
