Of course, it’s not quite as iconoclastic as it sounds – this will all be part of the Met’s Afternoon De-Light menu which has been going strong for just over a year now. That means the cupcakes will be low fat, the sandwiches come without bread, and it’ll all be sweetened up with fruit puree rather than unrefined sugars. We’re thinking, though, that if that was as uninspiring as it sounds, the menu would have been taken down by now – so it must be good.
Get your hot lips from 14-26 September, Monday-Saturday from 3-6pm. Tea costs £24 per person (about $39) – but includes a 20% discount card for the Lulu Guinness store nearby. Plus, if your compadres are strictly fashion, you can probably nick their plates as well, which definitely makes it better value.
