What awaits you at the Jeunesse Spa after your run.

Last year, the Westin Times Square got its guests running by teaming up with City Running Tours, and obviously the Empire Hotel has figured out this was a great idea. Starting from today, guests at the Empire will also be able to get some exercise in during their stay.

Jogging fans who check in to the Empire will be able to take part in an Empire Hotel Five-Mile Running Tour around the scenic and historic sites of the Upper West Side. These will include Strawberry Fields and Bethesda Terrace in Central Park, Lincoln Center, Ansonia Apartments, The Dakota, The Natural History Museum, Hayden Planetarium and the 79th Street Boat Basin in Riverside Park, just to name a few.

They say that the tours are suitable for all levels of runners, which we can imagine means that if you're a fast runner, you'll find it a little on the slow side – but more interesting than your average jog, perhaps.

Runners will also get a 10 percent discount on spa services at the hotel's Jeunesse Spa. Personally, we're more in favor of hanging out in the spa during our hotel stays, but we do know there are plenty of travelers who are dying to keep their running program going while they're away from home. Rooms start at around $250 a night.

What do you do to keep your running shoes moving while you're at a hotel? Let us know in the comments.

Where to run

The Empire Hotel is a way better place to start off for your run.Much nicer area and sights. The only good thing about running with the Westin is you would be running out of Times Square.
