Sometimes, there are perks for proximity. St. Kitts Marriott & The Royal Beach Casino likes to think so. Right now, several east coast cities are offering non-stop flights to the British West Indies beachfront destination. To sweeten the deal, the hotel is offering residents of North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and the Tri-State (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) area a rock-bottom "Resident’s Rate" of $79 per night.

The only catch – you must book a three-night stay which is totals $237 plus tax. Convenient travel logistics plus pocketbook friendly rates make for impromptu island getaways, so start packing your flip-flops, SPF and bathing suits.

The following airlines and cities will get you to St. Kitts in non-stop (read: just long enough to kick back with two Bloody Marys and a movie) style:

· Charlotte’s Douglas International Airport via US Airways (Saturday service resumes October 3rd)
· New York’s JFK Airport via American Airlines (direct flights on Wednesdays and Sundays)
· Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (starting November 7th, Delta resumes direct flights every Wednesday and Saturday; Delta also offers Wednesday flights)
· Miami International Airport offers daily direct flights via American Airlines

Pay attention, there's some fine print: Guests must show proof of residency -- no fake IDS, please. This deal is only valid for new bookings and good through December 22, 2009 (yep, it runs right through the Thanksgiving holiday). To book a reservation, please call (869) 466-1200 or visit here and request promotional code N9R. You'll have to trust us on this one -- there doesn't seem to be any information on this promotion on the hotel's website until you punch in the promo code and click on "Rate Rules."

Also, we tried to faux book dates for December 7 - 10, 2009 and it looks like Marriott is booking guests in its Garden View Rooms. It may not be oceanfront splendor, but the price is right and no matter where you stay at this property, you're still pretty darn close to the water.

Marriott's special Caribbean for Military too

I went to Cancun & used this, yes I got a Garden room but it was much nicer than allot of other hotels I have stayed at, out the sliding glass back door went right out to ocean. :)  Bravo to Marriott resorts.  Too bad I'm from PA otherwise I'd head to St. Kitts.  Humm anyone got an ID with my name on it hahahahahaah

Nice hotel

I've stayed at this Marriott and have to say it actually looks a lot nicer in real life than it appears in this photo. I had an ocean-front room with a balcony then, but I'd gladly take a garden room at this price. Hmmm, a fall weekend in St. Kitts may just be on the agenda.

Ms Rebecca

I agree. I had dinner at the property last year and this image doesn't do the hotel justice. It's in a great location, too.
So wish I lived on the east coast to take advantage of this deal. Bring along a friend and it's ridiculously cheap.
