It’s almost time to give summer the big kiss-off. Wanna party like it’s 1995? Well, you’re in luck: The Morgan Group’s Royalton Hotel in New York is running an “End of Summer” promotion for New York residents, starting at just $199 a night.

Sure, the hotel’s 2007 makeover was met with lackluster reviews from the New York Times not to mention original Morgans gurus Ian Schrager and Phillipe Starck, but is it really the Royalton’s fault that it launched an endless parade of copycat boutique hotels all jostling to be the spot du jour for Manhattan’s it boys and girls?

The promotion runs until September 2 (next Wednesday), and it’s actually a great time to nest in the city, since anyone who’s anyone is actually out in the Hamptons. Get dinner reservations, get cheap hotel rooms, shop the sales!

Using the promo code, SPLABD, we found rooms available every night until the 2nd, from the standard room at $199 to the alcove suite for $339. Deluxe queens with soaking tubs and working fireplaces are a mere $269 a night, and lofts $299. These rates will save you at least $100 on the “regular special” rates that you’ll pull up for the next week without the promo code, and around $200 on the rack rates.

So, you may not run into a Gossip Girl cast-member or an Olsen twin—but you can still recline in style, close your eyes, and imagine that it’s Leonardo DiCaprio you see kicking it in the lobby.
