Ok. Now, maybe folks Down Under do it differently in hotels but you can sure as hell bet your bottom dollar that we will never, ever search in between the mattresses for "treasure." Besides, most of the hotel beds these days are too heavy to even lift.
Second, the whole money in the bible is an urban legend designed to get you to look for the bible everytime you're in a hotel room. And lastly, while it's no secret that affairs happen on business trips, why would you want to search for someone's wedding ring and then keep it? Obviously, that ring's already got some bad luck attached to it. You taking it would be even worse.
That said, we have found a few stray items left behind during our recent hotel stays. Under the bed is a sure place to find strange things and the drawers of the bathroom vanities always yield something (dirty Q-tip anyone?) but we do believe in karma. If we ever did find something special--be it a wedding ring, a camera or even a phone charger or a book--we'd take it down to the front desk for Lost and Found. Except maybe a wad of money. That we might struggle with.
Tell us: what sort of "treasure" have you found left behind in hotel rooms?
