The next in our refreshing Summer Cocktails series comes from The W New Orleans, a hotel that is well-versed in seeking creative options to cool down in the hot Southern sun. Check out their rooftop pool.
The W's Whiskey Blue lounge has now put together the Amazon Cooler, a light drink that's perfect way to cap off a sweltering down of sightseeing. Or you know, just to get started on your wild night out on Bourbon Street.

AMAZON COOLER
(Muddle in Shaker)
3 Basil Leaves
2 Cucumber Slices
¾ oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
½ oz. Simple Syrup
(Add Ice and:)
2 oz. VeeV
Served in a Martini Glass
Garnish with a floating Cucumber
The drink, along with other fun summer cocktails, is available in Whiskey Blue starting at 5pm for $13. The lounge is open until 2am during the week and until 4am on Fridays and Saturdays. But it is closed on Sundays.
