You can’t blame a girl for trying to keep up. Maison 140 was originally constructed as a home for silent film star Lillian Gish in 1939, so she’s a little overdue for an operation, though the common areas are already looking like Wearstler’s vision of a “contemporary tribute to the classic Parisian inns of the last century.”
Just to reignite her allure, Maison 140 is also offering a couple special packages. The first is the “Summer on Sale,” where guests staying two or more nights can save up to 30% on regular room rates. The second package is a whole lot bigger, so you might want to gather your whole family together…for a wedding, or a bar mitzvah.
That’s because you can rent out the entire hotel. The “My Maison” weekend buy-out package costs $19,995 for the weekend (that’s $465 per room total), and you and your guests can have the run of the place. It includes all 43 rooms, a glass of champagne for everyone upon arrival, continental breakfast, a private wine and cheese tasting, overnight parking, and all the other perks that the hotel normally offers like WiFi service and free phone calls to Paris, so figure out your international dialing.
Suddenly Maison 140 isn’t looking so tired anymore.
