Friday fun at HC HQ occasionally involves poking around the HVS Manhattan Market Overview and seeing what the new hot gossip on the streets happens to be. And would you look at this: we noticed that The Strand Hotel at 33 West 37th Street was slated to open its doors in Fall 2009 — mighty soon, kids!
We actually noticed the hotel has a website up and running already, too — though we can't quite get a feel for what rates are going to be like; the site isn't taking any bookings yet.
But we see pictures!
And we've got an amenity list: "Fine courtyard dining at A Fish Called Avalon," an all-season rooftop lounge and bar called Top of the Strand, a spa with massage services, a reading lounge and library, unlimited (we assume this means free) WiFi — as well as a few standard goodies.
