According to Pura Martinez-Stephen, the resort’s Catering Sales Manager, MC Hammer got down on bent knee over dinner one night and proposed to his missus. Martinez-Stephen and her staff of deft wedding planners snapped into action and planned a vow renewal ceremony for the very next day. The two said “I do” round deux with their gaggle of five kids on a secluded beach near the resort’s equestrian stables and apparently, the has been 90’s rapper hasn’t stopped Tweeting about it.
Anyway, back to the details sans any episode spoilers. We hear that the Hammer clan stayed in the Cottages, a group of oceanfront rooms grouped into 6 unit clusters separate from the other non-celeb hotel guests. Guests of the Cottages have their own entrance, concierge, and VIP amenities. Post-nuptials, the Hammer’s broke it down in room #144.

MC Hammer Renews His Vows at Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu

We’re island-hopping around Hawaii this week for a few assignments, and stopped by Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu’s North Shore to do a quick tour of the hotel. The 880-acre property is a real stunner with five miles of perfectly uncrowded coastline. If we gave a rat’s ass about golf we're sure we'd be impressed by the Arnold and Fazio pro golf courses, but sadly, the sport is lost on us.
But, as an Oahu wedding or honeymoon destination, Turtle Bay Resort is one of the best.
That’s why MC Hammer (a.k.a. Stanley Burrell) decided to have an impromptu vow renewal with his wife of more than 23 years during a recent spring break stay at the resort. All the Kleenex-worthy drama will air this Sunday on the has been 90’s rapper’s reality TV show, Hammertime on A&E.
