The Five Best Hotels for Father's Day 2009

Father's Day is Sunday, June 21st. You should have known that already, quite honestly. But since you probably didn't — and since you totes want to assuage your guilt by giving Dad something over-the-top awesome for his special day (which may or may not involve you) — we rounded up a list of our favorite Father's Day packages at some sweet hotels for you to take a look at.

Whether pops is into cars, relaxing, beer or sports, we've got somethin' good for him. Or, rather, something good for you to buy him.

1. Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch; Beaver Creek, Colorado.
We cannot say enough about the beauty of this ski-resort hotel in the summertime (so green and gorgeous!). And if your daddy's the outdoorsy type and/or if he's a golfer, this is perfect for him and the rest of the fam: The resort's Swing Into Summer Golf Package gets him (and you, if you want) one night's accommodation in a Resort View Guest Room, one or two rounds of golf at Red Sky Golf Club, a welcome golf amenity and daily valet parking — and, during the summer, kids ages 7 to 16 can play a free round of golf "with every adult round played Monday through Thursdays."
Starting at $434 per night for one night and one round; from $644 per night for one night and two rounds.

2. Four Points by Sheraton; Various Locations.
If your dad is a beer sort of dude, The Best Brews Package offered by Four Points by Sheraton — wherever he may want to go — gets him half off the Best Brews Sampler (four 4-ounce pours of draught beer), plus a full American breakfast for two, free bottled water and, obviously, free WiFi. This is a good bet for Dads on the go a lot — figure out where his next destination may be and book him into a Four Points.
Prices vary by location.

3. Solage Calistoga; Calistoga, CA (Napa Valley).
On June 21, the Solage Calistoga will have tons of family activities goin' on: a Family Bocce Tournament, followed by a Father’s Day Cookout ($35 per adult and $18 per child under 12) — and it's also "Deluxe Dad's Spa Day" at Spa Solage: he gets a 50-minute sports or deep tissue massage, free access to the Bathhouse’s geo-thermal mineral pools and a parting spa gift runs you $130.
Starting at $295 per night on June 21st only, and you have to book the Dad's Spa Day package on top of it.

4. The Algonquin; New York, NY.
This one's for the type of dad who taught you everything you know about, well, everything. You and pops can have a sweet Manhattan weekend — two King rooms for two nights — which includes a full American breakfast for two each morning, dinner for two on one evening, a $100.00 gift card to Brooks Brothers Clothier (cause he's a dapper dude) and two tickets to see the Mets play the Tampa Bay Rays at Citi Field. It's called the King for a King package (awww) and, as an added bonus, special Father's Day books will be available on the hotel's Kindles, too, like "Dreams of My Father," "Tuesdays with Morrie" and "Mark Twain: A Life."
Starting at $1799; tax and gratuity included.

5. The Luxe Hotel, Rodeo Drive; Beverly Hills, CA
Oh goodness, this is adorable: the Luxe Hotel's Yabba Dabba Do Fathers Day package pays homage to the ultimate cartoon dad: Fred Flintstone (no, not Homer Simpson). The Concours d’Elegance green-themed car show is coming to Rodeo Drive on Father's Day — and dads wishing to hit it up (get it? 'Cause Fred Flintstone is, like, "the original ‘green’ motorist"?) can do so with the Saturday night package that includes a brew of his choice and Steak & Eggs breakfast for two.
Starting at $249.
