This past Tuesday when we hit it up, Casa Noble tequila was the featured spirit. A premium tequila, Casa Noble is made from 100 percent Blue Agave and it's all certified organic. The fermentation process is also 100 percent natural and then followed by a tripled distillation which gives their tequila some of the purest tequila out there.
While we did sample three types of Casa Noble's tequila--Cristal (Blanco), Reposado and Anejo--we still prefer to drink our tequila in a margarita rather than standalone. And that's where the Margarita Lavanda comes in. This drink is sweet but in a rather light way--not at all like that cheap margarita mix we often grab from the store. And Margarita Lavanda just sounds fancier than "Margarita, rock, salt."
Margarita Lavanda
Description: A twist on the traditional margarita featuring Casa Noble Organic Crystal Tequila, Fresh Lime Juice, and housemade Lavender Syrup, garnished with a sprig of fresh Lavender.
Recipe:
2 oz. Casa Noble Organic Crystal Tequila
1 oz. House margarita mix (fresh orange juice and lime)
1 oz. Infused Simple Syrup with Lavender Syrup (make simple syrup add fresh lavender, let it rest for an hour and strain)
Squeeze of Lime
Serve on the rocks, garnish with a sprig of fresh Lavender or a Lavender Flower
Next week's Taste of Tuesday will again feature Casa Noble tequila but a new spirit will be featured in July. When you roll up for Taste of Tuesday, valet parking will be offered for $5 for the first hour and $8 total for guests who want to enjoy the entire night. But if you end up enjoying the night a little too much, leave your car at the hotel. Drunk driving is never cool.
