Naturally, the hotel doesn't expect you have to work these gadgets by yourself. Cabana attendants are at your service and will also serve you fare from the new pool deck menu and cabana-catering menu. And much like the cabanas in Vegas, there is a rental fee. Cabana rates start at $75 Monday-Thursday but bump up to $150 on Fridays and Saturdays for hotel guests. Locals can get a cabana for $250.
The hotel is running some packages to kick off their new poolside offerings. In June, July and August, The Century Plaza is offering 50 percent off the second night for stays booked on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. And if you book now through July 31 (for stays valid through December 30, 2009), you can get 20 percent off a three-night stay or 30 percent off a four-night stay and 3,000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points. Rates for the Hyatt start at around $199 a night.
