Pet-lovers sniffing around California, take note: some Joie de Vivre hotels are rolling out the welcome mats for pets of all shapes and sizes.

Indeed, the boutique hotel chain’s 15 pet-friendly hotels — located in the San Francicsco Bay Area, Silicon Valley, and Southern California — have ditched weight limit restrictions and pet fees to make canine check-in easier. That’s almost half of Joie de Vivre’s collection, which they claim equals more dog-friendly hotels than any other hotel group, including the new Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach and Hotel Maya (pictured above) in Long Beach.

“We wanted to make our pet-friendly hotels even more hospitable to dogs, so we scrapped weight restrictions and standard pet surcharges so that more of our guests can enjoy traveling with their pets,” explained CEO Chip Conley in a press release.

The brand’s pack of pet-friendly hotels also offer in-room dog beds, dog food, water bowls, toys, and, certainly, a doggie turndown service. Some hotels also offer fee-based grooming and dog walking services upon request.
