The Empire Hotel is a Revolving Door of Celebrities

If the The Empire Hotel actually had a revolving door, we could say that the hotel is a revolving door of celebrities — literally — but even with a boring set of pull doors, celebrities keep on coming and going from this Midtown West hotel. And some of these recent celebs have actual talent (unlike The Kardashians.)

Orlando Jones is shacking up at the Empire in a $1,500-a-night suite while he does he stint on Broadway, starring in The Wiz. Also, Heidi Klum stayed at the hotel to attend a Victoria's Secret Beauty luncheon on the pooldeck. According to a source, she was "wonderful and smiley" but was a little tired (probably because she's pregnant, AGAIN) and talked about taking a cat nap in her suite.

Bigger names descended on the hotel for the Year One movie premiere's afterparty. Rihanna was there with her new man, Drake but left disappointed because the movie's co-star Michael Cera was a no-show. Andy Samberg, Ed Helms, Oliver Platt and Amber Tamblyn rounded out the rest of the actors chilling on the rooftop.

In other celeb news — ok that's stretching it — but fameball Julia Allison did recently tweet about being on the hotel's rooftop and here's what she said:

At the Empire Hotel (2nd night in a row) with Jordan - the lobby may be sexy, but the rooftop makes a U of A frat house look classy. Ick.

But just the day before Julia Allison said she really dug the place.

"Is the Empire Hotel new? How did I not notice this place before now?!? Amazing spot for sexy drinks. ;)

Uh, we've been there a couple of times (when not trying to plow our way through crowds of fameballs at Internet Week events, might we add) and we liked it. And we've seen our share of un-classy frathouses.

Have you been up on the roof at the Empire? What did you think?
