Ever since Paris’s bike-sharing program, Velib, took the world by storm two summers ago, the City of Light might as well be re-dubbed the City of Bikes. Beyond our fears of navigating streets clogged with angry Parisian drivers, we have to admit the whole see-Paris-by-bike thing is pretty cool — not to mention a nice eco-friendly initiative.

The Hilton Hotels in Paris agree, and this summer they're launching a new “Go Green” package at the Hilton Arc de Triomphe and Hilton Arc de Triomphe that combines a guided bike tour or free bike rental with a Hilton hotel stay and buffet breakfast for fueling up. And just for fun, they throw in a “green” cocktail of Vitamin kiwi juice too, which you can enjoy at Hilton Arc de Triomphe’s Purple Bar or Bar l'Echiquier at Hilton Paris La Défense.

If, like us, you fear the wrath of French road rage, worry not: Paris has 195 miles of bike paths for more relaxed riding. Your stay’s green quotient extends beyond colored drinks and bike rides, though: The Hilton Arc de Triomphe snagged recognition in 2008 for being Hilton’s best performing “green” properties in Europe by reducing energy use by 32 percent and water use by 19 percent over the course of three years. Both Paris Hiltons (ha!) also participate in the brand’s environmental sustainability program.

Hilton’s “Go Green” package requires a two-night minimum stay, available July 1 through September 30. Rates start at 335 euros at Hilton Arc de Triomphe and 230 euros at Hilton Paris La Défense.
