More of the Same Coming to Hotel Le Bristol

Last time we were writing about the Hotel Le Bristol, it was for less-upbeat reasons than this, so we’re glad to be reporting some happier news from the Rue de Faubourg Saint-Honoré.

The hotel has just announced the construction of a new wing for September, next to the current building, and will sport 26 new rooms, plus a restaurant. Don’t expect anything groundbreaking though; the hotel says the wing will be styled “in the same timeless fashion” as the original hotel — so if classic paintings and pink marble bathrooms weren’t your style the first time around, don’t expect them to change.

The restaurant should show a slight break from tradition, though: it promises to serve the “same caliber of food” as its three Michelin-starred gaff in the main hotel, but in a “revamped and unconventional setting” for a “casual dining experience”. Hmm, we still wouldn’t rock up in shorts yet, though.
