Princess Hides from Creditors at the Four Seasons George V
This lady has some balls. Princess Maha al-Sudairi, the wife of Saudi Arabia's Interior Minister, charged nearly $24 million dollars at Paris' luxury fashion houses over a year-long period but decided not to pay up and then claimed diplomatic immunity from inside her suite at the Four Seasons George V hotel.
Why the Four Seasons? Well, it's partly owned by her nephew, Prince Al Waleed bin Talal, so she's sure to get a good Friends and Family discount on that $4,000 a night rate.
But seeking refuge in a family-owned hotel still could not prevent a court bailiff from showing up and threatening to seize her things. According to the BBC, a check was promptly made out for $125,000 to a clothing chain Key Largo after the bailiff arrived. Yet the Princess still has a lot more moolah to dole out. Including debts owed to the swank Hotel Crillon. We're guessing Parisian hotels now have her name on their black list.
