Perusing the hotel's website to check out their room descriptions, we see that there are over 1,000 hotel rooms in the place. Which makes us think that getting a room with that kind of view is going to be very hard indeed. And it turns out we are right: if your budget is not busted like ours currently is, you could splurge for one of the 15 executive suites which have bay-style windows (and is where this picture was taken).
These rooms start at $599 a night, although the hotel has discounted rates through October. We found a Skyline Suite for $419 for next weekend. (A standard room was $139).
Another option is to bring your laptop down to the hotel's club lounge. This space is for folks who reserve rooms on the 27 - 32nd floors and it serves complimentary continental breakfast in the mornings.
To be fair, almost all the rooms have huge windows so getting a view without booking a suite or a club room is do-able. But as is usually the case with room views, you will need to pay a little extra. Newly renovated rooms with a guaranteed view (on floors 20-26) were going for $167.20 next weekend. And about the internet on your laptop? That will also cost you $17.
