What is Monte Carlo's Hotel32?

We love us a little piece of hot Vegas hotel goss, and today's comes from — of all hotels — The Monte Carlo. Seems ol' MC's got a bit of an ace up its sleeve.

On his blog, HotelsMag's Adam Kirby wonders about a semi-shady email he received from the Vegas hotel this morning:

MGM Mirage's Monte Carlo Las Vegas sent out a very ambiguous e-mail this morning referring to something called Hotel32. The e-mail includes no details or information on the project, save for a link to a slideshow of boutiquey-looking guestrooms.

Hmmm. Even though the rooms are dirt-cheap here (currently hovering around $60), we can't help but remember our last Monte Carlo stay — which was less than stellar. We're glad they're at least doing something along the lines of an update — or whatever this is.

Either the Monte C has a major renovation in mind, they're building a new property (very unlikely) or Kirby is onto something when he speculates that this might be the "latest incarnation of Monte Carlo's VIP 32nd floor, which was badly damaged in a fire last year" (most likely).

If you've got any hot goss on Hotel32, by all means, shoot it our way. Meanwhile, check out the whole Hotel32 slideshow here.

    Seems obvious

Considering it's called "Hotel 32" and the 32nd floor has traditionally been their concierge floor, I think it's quite obvious that this is to be their hotel within a hotel, similar to a THE Hotel sort of concept. I'm bored already.

    Also, according to Expedia...

    Expedia:

    Renovation Notice

Dragon Noodle, Monte Carlo's Asian restaurant, will be closed for renovations beginning April 14 until further notice.

Construction has begun on the new and improved 32nd floor. The 31st floor has been closed to provide a noise buffer for guests.

This renovation information supersedes all other information in this hotel's description that relates to these hotel amenities.
