Will Tommy Hilfiger Open the Next Line of Fashion Hotels?

While we were engaging in our usual thorough research of Jennifer Aniston's whereabouts (which is, typically, not too hard considering she usually goes to, like, three places ever), we came across a very special little blurb in WWD:

Tommy Hilfiger...[is] in the "conceptual" stage of building his own brand of hotels. "We like America but we have great popularity all over the world," he said at the after-party at Table 8 in the Cooper Square Hotel. "I think we could put a hotel up in just about any major city."

Huh. You think? Not to be wet blankets or anything, but we're not so sure about that — like, can anyone build a hotel in any major city right now? And is Tommy Hilfiger super popular? And what ever happened to his daughter from that short-lived MTV reality show Rich Girls?

Who knows; maybe it will be the next new and awesome fashion hotel. But when we think of Tommy Hilfiger, we sort of think of red, white and blue — so if, like, a patriotic hotel is your thang, maybe you'll dig whatever he's got in the works right now. Meanwhile, the preppy Chuck-Bass-lovers in us think it's hot time Ralph Lauren launched a hotel brand, no?
