Kiefer Sutherland Goes All Jack Bauer On Someone at SubMercer

All the celebrities were out partying
And it got...not pretty.

Whether this little ditty of a rumor is 100% accurate or not (people tend to see things that are ever-so-slightly more exaggerated when it's late at night and they're in a nightlife venue), but we're pleased to have learned that, the night of the Met's costume gala, Kiefer Sutherland totally went Jack Bauer on someone's ass at SubMercer at the Mercer Hotel — in defense of a lady. The ultimate lady, in fact: Brooke Shields.

TMZ reports:

We're told witnesses say the alleged victim — Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough — allegedly knocked Brooke Shields over and Kiefer saw it happen. The witnesses say Kiefer went over to the man and told him to apologize to her. At that point they say McCollough pushed Kiefer and the actor responded with a headbutt.

Meanwhile, Shields' rep told TMZ that "nothing happened to her" to prompt the little dude-fight, and that she'll be interviewed by cops. But really: you don't mess with Jack Bauer, and you most certainly don't mess with a lady in Jack Bauer's presence.
