Jaunted and Competitours Giving Away a Free Team Travel Trip to Europe

Hey, uh, are you jealous that we've been gallivanting around Europe a bit lately? Does all this London, Turkey and Berlin talk have you green with envy? Well, you can get yourself to Europe this summer, too — for free. It's all courtesy of a contest run by our travel-bloggin' bro, Jaunted.

Competitours, a team travel competition dubbed by the Chicago Tribune as 'The Amazing Race For The Rest Of Us', has agreed to send one team of two Jaunted readers to compete in travel to Western and Central Europe on a secret itinerary while accomplishing a series of fun, quirky surprise challenges that are based on creativity and resourcefulness — not speed.

Teams will document challenges via portable videocam for judging, while vying for a worldwide travel spree grand prize, featuring Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide.

That's right: after reading Jaunted's exhaustive recaps of Amazing Race episodes and checking in on their weekly Amazing Race maps, you can tap into your inner travel-savvy globetrotter to compete in the July 28th - August 6th Competitours challenge.

Oh! And remember the Amazing Race winners from Season 9, "The Hippies?" Well the one and only Tyler MacNiven will be participating in the race with his Mom. Yes, that means you get to compete to dethrone the champion Tyler and his Mom.

HOW TO WIN
Leave a comment on Jaunted's call-for-entries story describing the perfect "Competitours" challenge. Remember, these challenges are far more "Mole" than "MTV's Gauntlet" — meaning your entry will be judged based on originality, practicality, and intelligence. Some challenges include rounding 15 strangers up to the top of the Eiffel Tower to do the can-can, searching for obscure objects in an open-air market or thinking up new uses for torture items on display in a torture museum.
