Billing itself as an eco-friendly hotel, the Union Square-adjacent Serrano Hotel in San Francisco is offering rooms this summer for $99. That’s quite a deal for the sometimes-pricy Kimpton family, of which this is a member — especially considering that rooms usually go for about $189 the rest of the year.

The deal is good for travel every day of the week, and runs through September 7. There are a few blackout days, though: June 7-10 and 16-18, and July 12-16. Guess that means Bastille Day is out, zut alors!

All rooms at the bright, Spanish-style boutique hotel include flat-panel TV’s and free high-speed internet. You can also take advantage of the deal to upgrade your room for only $50 instead of the normal $100. Add up all the money you’ve saved, and that’s enough to pay for one of the hotel’s in-room spa services after enjoying the daily complimentary wine hour down in the lobby, or a snack at the hotel’s restaurant, Ponzu.

As for the eco-friendly part, the Serrano uses environmentally gentle cleaning supplies, the corporate stationery is created using soy ink and recycled paper, all complimentary beverages are organic, and the plumbing is all low-flow. It’s not going to set global warming back anytime soon, but it’s better than nothing.

To book the deal, call the hotel at (877) 294-9709 and give them the promo code: TZP.
