W SoBe Shoots For a June 26th Opening That Probably Won't Happen

Yawn. Well, color us surprised. At this rate, The W Barcelona is going to be open before the W South Beach: yes, the long awaited W SoBe has officially been delayed. Again. 'Til June 26th, just as we suspected last week.

The hotel's website now reflects this opening date change and says rezzies are being accepted for June 26th and beyond. But! Lo and behold, there were no rooms available to book until July 2nd. Wait a hot minute — what happened last time we got the "WHOOPS! This location does not have availability for the dates you selected" message? Ah, right: delays, delays, delays.

We don't know what's causing the holdup at W SoBe, but the Miami Hotel Mambo has apparently slowed to a downtempo waltz: now we're even hearing that the delays are croppin' up all over the 305. Dream's apparently still sleeping, SBE's Ritz Plaza is sorta off the radar and Cipriani South Beach may not be making much headway either.
