Hotel Modera
The deal: Premier City King and Premier Garden King rooms are available for $89 a night. Reservations must be booked online, paid in full in advance and are non-refundable or eligible for any changes.
Why we like it: We like a good night's sleep, and down pillows, custom pillow-top mattresses, and faux-fur throws make it oh-so easy.
Where to find it: Near Portland State University.
Ace Hotel
The deal: If don’t mind small digs and are willing to share a shower and bath (sink and vanity are in room), book a Basic Shared Single or Triple room for $95.
Why we like it:It's way hipper than its hostel-like sibling in Seattle. Love the flat panel televisions, complimentary Wi-Fi, funky artwork, custom Pendelton blankets, vintage furniture and Stumptown Coffee in the lobby.
Where to find it: One block from Powell’s City of Books.
Jupiter Hotel
The deal: Night owls will dig the “after midnight” rate of $59 + tax for those who check in, duh, after midnight. Available year-round, based on availability.
Why we like it: Its proximity to Doug Fir, a restaurant/lounge/live-music venue that serves 3 square meals a day and stays open until 4 a.m., is a major plus.
Where to find it: The Lower Burnside neighborhood.
Aloft Portland Airport at Cascade Station
The deal: Go online to find a handful of sweet deals. Our fave? Book your first night for $99 (weekends only) and your 2nd and 3rd night rates will equal your birth year. Born in 1973? Nights two and three are just $73 each.
Why we like it: It's way hipper than any airport hotel you've ever stayed at. Pinky swear.
Where to find it
: Conveniently close to PDX airport, yet within a 10-minute easy light rail ride to downtown.
Hotel Fifty
The deal: Hotel Fifty is sitting pretty after a recent $7 million facelift and to celebrate, it's knocking 40% off its usual room rates. Rooms start at $91.50 a night, but there’s a small caveat: this rate must be booked on Travelzoo
and is only valid through May 31, 2009.
Why we like it:It's shiny and new and feels totally cosmopolitan.
Where to find it: Prime downtown location, right in The Rose Quarter.
Know of any other can't-live-without under $100 hotel deals? We’d love to hear about ‘em.
