Snag a $149 All-Inclusive Re-Opening Rate at JDV's Hotel Maya
The Hotel Maya, a JDV Hotel in Long Beach, is set to re-open after a massive $20 million renovation this summer (the date of the big unveiling is supposed to be July 1st, and the website still says work will be completed on June 30th so we think this will happen on time) with totally revamped rooms and a new restaurant, Fuego at Hotel Maya.
While standard rates at the South-Waterfront-district-located hotel will run you $159-$249 most of the time, they're celebrating their big re-opening with a special totally all-inclusive opening rate.
Booking the "Mayan Journey" Package available July 15th through the end of the year for $149 per person gets you a room, breakfast, a three-course dinner at Fuego, some Mexicali Chocolate at check-in, a Sangria tasting every day at 5 p.m. (ooooh), water taxi transportation and free parking.
This hotel is resort-style (it's actually a big complex made up of five separate buildings), so you can make a weekend out of it: when it re-opens, expect bay, ocean, or garden views upon which to gaze from your room's private balcony, as well as a full-size heated lap pool, a Jacuzzi, and "a water canal that supports private floating cabanas."
Oh, and, um: try not to stay there before the construction is 100% completed (mid-July is a safe bet) while all the renos on the guestrooms are done and they're taking guests, the public areas are under construction until June 30th and the restaurant, room service, fitness center and the pool won't be available until July 1st.
