Don't Hold Your Breath For That June 16th W SoBe Opening

Whoops — we may have spoken too soon on that W South Beach opening date declaration yesterday. Here is what we know: the hotel will definitely not be opening on June 2nd. The hotel's website changed its opening date and pushed it back to June 16th, so while it certainly would have been nice to have the doors open in a couple weeks — it ain't gonna happen. We appreciate the ambition, though.

But now some folks have been saying that even June 16th won't be the blessed day. Yesterday, we were convinced the hotel was on track for that third week in June 'cause we were able to make a rezzie for the night of the 16th — but after we heard rumors of yet another delay flying around, we checked again and, alas, we got the ol' "WHOOPS! This location does not have availability for the dates you selected" on the night of the 16th.

The first date with rooms that were available was Saturday, June 20th. Delay — or buggy reservation system? That's a toughie. Not.
