What would you be willing to give up for a discounted room at San Diego's rural Rancho Bernardo Inn? That's the question that General Manager John Gates asks on his “GM Gone Mad” Twitter, where he tweets various promotions and packages to a tribe of 120 loyal followers.

Past specials have included a 50% discount at the Inn’s restaurant, El Bizcocho, and a deal where Gates offered a complimentary stay at the resort to the first person who brought in an umbrella on a rainy day. And now: the "Survivor" package.

The "Survivor" package runs from May 15-June 15, and August 16-31, starting at $219 per night for a room and breakfast for two. As opposed to most "starting rates," however, the price only drops from there.

Here's the breakdown:

· $219 deluxe accommodations plus breakfast for two
· $199 without breakfast
· $179 without honor bar
· $159 without A/C or heat
· $139 without pillows
· $109 without sheets
· $89 without lights
· $59 without linens
· $39 without toiletries
· $19 without bed

By the end, you might as well just camp out in your backyard; really, that would probably be more comfortable. For the more adventurous travelers out there, though, the special presents a unique opportunity to shave a few bucks off your stay. And hey, we dare you to go for the “no bed” package.

The tribe has spoken.
