Will The VU Hotel Not Be Called The VU Hotel?

Last week, we were bummed to hear that The VU Hotel which should have opened last summer, would not be opening until sometime in June at the earliest. Now, we're hearing that if it opens it may not even be called The VU Hotel.

Chloe Berman of Travel Weekly wrote an article about Kimpton Hotels commission system for travel agents and The VU hotel was only listed as "Another new property in New York." We sincerely hope they don't change the name because we really like it. And besides, they already have a website all set up.

Currently, the Kimpton website is still using the name VU on the page that lists their New York properties so maybe they are just trying to keep the name on the downlow until whenever the hotel finally opens.
