Introducing VegasChatter, Baby
Remember how Laverne & Shirley were so popular on Happy Days they got their own spin-off show? Well, that, in a nutshell is how VegasChatter was born. Las Vegas has always been one of the world's most popular travel destinations, and for years "the entertainment capital of the world" was in dire need of a daily travel web publication that what would cover Vegas the same way HotelChatter covers hotels and Jaunted covers travel from a traveler's perspective.
Hat tip to Budget Travel, World Hum, LA Times, and Concierge (built-in advantage), all of whom discovered and broke the launch story before we officially announced it today.
Our favorite story thus far has to be where to go to church in Las Vegas.
Also: Give a click on the roulette wheel and you will see the latest Las Vegas stories from all three sites HotelChatter, Jaunted, and VegasChatter plotted in the form of a map mash up.
The brief site launch announcement is, as they said way back in 2005, after the break...
VegasChatter :: So Bright You Can See It From Space
VegasChatter is a daily users guide to the ins and outs of the potlatch and pomp that is Las Vegas.
In the most populous American city founded in the 20th century, tourism, gaming, and conventions rule the day.
We parse the hyperbole to make sure your forty-eight-or-so hours in the entertainment capital of the world are truly epic.
VegasChatter is a spin off site from the fine folks that brought you HotelChatter and Jaunted. Full masthead can be found here.
Our launch sponsor is Phantom of the Opera Las Vegas.
If you are interested in writing for VegasChatter, Jaunted, or HotelChatter, we are currently looking for excellent contributing editors. Email us three sample stories and please use the name of the site you are interested in writing for in the subject line.
Full launch announcement can be found here...
