As believers in the act of pre-gaming — that is, tailgating before football games, sipping wine before heading to dinner, taking shots before heading to parties or clubs — we can for sure get on board with, um, a year-in-advance pre-game for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.

Apparently, it has been determined that Vancouver's Yaletown neighborhood is going to be the 'Olympic Party Zone' when the games roll around, so a hotel in the area, the Opus (home of that let-everyone-know-you're-staying-here 7 Series we've mentioned), has gotten in on the action early to offer a party preview package for people who want to dip their toes into the vast pool of Olympic parties coming up next year.

Themed around the hotel's "muse," a woman named Dede who reminds some of us at HC of, um, ourselves, the pre-Games pre-game package (see what we did there?) will run you $2010 and includes:

· Two nights in Opus' dramatic penthouse suite
· A welcome amenity with 'raid the mini bar' credit of $35
· Complimentary Opus BMW 7 Series chauffeur to Harbour Air terminal
· A soaring 20 min Harbour Air sea plane tour of Vancouver's city stadium and mountain event venues; see from the sky where all the action takes place in 2010
· A jaw-dropping, teeth-chattering Grouse Mountain zip-line tour
· An interactive 'cocktail of champions' Opus Bar interactive mixololgy session
· A celebratory multi-course dinner for two created by Chef Don Letendre in the hotel’s Elixir Bistro
· A luxuriously late check out at 2pm

All sounds pretty kickass, right? And just look at it this way: you're beating the crowds and you're participating in something called "Cocktail of Champions" — so it may just be worth the $2010, no?
