Call us shallow, but we love staying in hotels where celebs have stayed, and we'd be even more excited if we were staying in one at the same time as a VIP. Imagine looking at Dita Von Teese over the brekkie table! That would rein in our buffet overindulgence if nothing else.

And although we wouldn�t advocate stalking or anything, there is one seriously cool celeb you could share the lift with if you book into the St. James's Hotel & Club in London during the second week of June. In fact, there's more than one, because said celeb, Samuel L Jackson, is proving said seriously cool credentials by booking up half the hotel for his mates — including Don Cheadle, Alice Cooper, Don Johnson, Natalie Cole, and the luscious Luke Wilson.

According to thelondonpaper today, Sammy L is booking up the entire hotel for his party, as he hits town to host the Shooting Stars in Desert Nights benefit ball for the Rainbow Trust kiddies' charity on June 11. "He wants to make sure all his pals are looked after," a source told them.

But we think they might be exaggerating because we just had a look on the hotel website, and you can still book every kind of room for the week in question — there are 60 in all, so there's plenty of space for us to stalk around in. And — update — a little bird just told us that the Jackson crew have booked up "lots of suites" — so you know where to look.

One suite that's still available is the top room — the St James�s Suite — yours for a cool �1800 per night. Yes it's a lot, but if you just, you know, happened to stumble on Mr. Wilson in the bar, you could invite him up to check out your "antique furnishings". Consider it an investment.
