Win Free Nights at La Quinta by Naming Road Trip Playlists

Ah, spring. It’s (sort of) here! And with warmer weather always comes an inevitable itch to take to the open roads. Because no matter how high gas prices soar, we will always be partial to an old-fashioned road trip: windows down, music cranked way up, and plenty of detours through Americana.

Rand McNally and La Quinta Inns & Suites understand the feeling, and they want to make sure your road trips have a kickin’ soundtrack. Over at Rand McNally’s social community website, iNeverGetLost, you can check out two playlists — one dubbed "Classic Spring Tunes" (including the requisite "Life is a Highway," "Should I Stay or Should I Go," et al) and the other "Mainstream Spring Tunes" (a mix of Coldplay, Sufjan Stevens, Rihanna, etc).

Since the titles of those playlists are, well, pretty uninspiring, they want you to help come up with more creative names by joining iNeverGetLost and submitting a clever moniker. The submission period ends midnight Central time Wednesday, April 8, after which Rand McNally will post the suggestions for the public to vote on their favorites. After one week, the top voted submission will win a three-night stay at any of the more than 700 La Quinta hotels as well as a $50 iTunes gift card, $50 gas card, and a Rand McNally travel essentials prize pack ($150 value). Not bad!

And even if you don’t win, iNeverGetLost members can score 25 percent off road trip gear (emergency kits, road trip DVDs) from the online Rand McNally travel store. Get going here.
