Morgans Ceases Cursing at the Recession and Lowers Room Rates

April 29, 2009 at 9:29 AM | by Jenna | 0 Comments

Ah, remember the days before the recession? Before swine flu swept the world, before Oprah was on Twitter and before Morgans Hotels were going for under $200? Those were the days.

And those days are gone. If you're planning to hit the West Coast, it seems Morgans Hotel Group has done a little bit less cursing at the recession and a bit more adjusting to it: they are majorly kicking back rates.

Right now, they've got special rates going at three of their properties: the chic Mondrian LA has rates starting at $295 (eh, you can do better in LA — but if you're dying to stay at the Mondrian you might as well go for it now). The Mondrian Scottsdale is down to $140 these days, and the Clift Hotel in San Francisco is starting at $205.

If you want to score these rates, booking is open directly through Morgans until June 30th — although, ahem, we happened to notice that you can score that Clift rate on Quikbook tooand you get a percentage of that knocked off, which comes out to $172 a night if you stay 3 nights. If you book directly with the hotel, though, you get two free cocktails at the hotel's bar, plus "up to a $100 hotel credit, and preferred reservations at Asia de Cuba."

To book, call (800) 606-6090 and mention promo code PKSTIM.
