Flying Singapore Airlines Scores You Singapore Hotel Rooms For $1
We'd like to say it's one of our eternal dilemmas, dahling: where in the world do we stop over when we're going on a super-long haul trip? Well at the moment, we're thinking Singapore because, right now, we can stay there for $1.
If you're flying Singapore Airlines (and from what we've heard, we'd quite like to anyway), you can book the Fabulous Singapore Stopover package, which nets you a hotel for $1 per person for the first night of your stay.
The hotels aren't half bad; there are six to choose from at $1 (with 29 others in five other categories, if you're up for spending more), and we reckon the Peninsula Excelsior looks rather good for a buck (without the package, rooms go for around $94).
At the other end of the scale, a room at the lush Sentosa Resort & Spa can be yours for $105 per person through the Singapore Stopover package. But seeing as rooms are available through its own website for $335 (ie $167.50 per person) in May, that offer don't seem too exciting to us.
The package also includes half price meals in your hotel, transfers from and to the airport, free rides on the hop-on bus and Sentosa Shuttle, and entry to seven attractions, including the Jurong Bird Park and Malay Heritage Centre. To snap one up, book by May 15, and travel before September's up at Singapore Airlines' site.
