You Still Won't See the View from The VU Hotel Until This Summer

With all the drama surrounding the Ace Hotel, we nearly forgot about the upcoming VU Hotel from Kimpton on 11th Avenue in Manhattan Midtown. Last we heard, the hotel was absolutely opening on February 16th. But guess what? It's now opening on June 19, according to the hotel's website.

But when we tried to make a reservation for that date, the hotel's website said the hotel was "unavailable" so we wouldn't cling to close to that June opening date either.

We're not quite sure what's been the holdup behind this hotel, which should have opened last year, but if it does open in June or later in the summer, that might be a more tourist-friendly time for the hotel than well...now.
