Just in time for the Tribeca Film Festival, Robert DeNiro will be making an appearance Sunday night at the Tribeca Grand Hotel. Kind of. Robert DeNiro in the form of the utterly psychotic Travis Bickle will flash across the silver screen inside the hotel. (You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me?) Who can resist?

We can't. The hotel is extending their Grand Life series from their AM Grand Sunday Brunch with complimentary kiddie films to the PM with screenings of classics and cult faves.

So yeah, what we're talking about is chowing down on some sliders while catching a little DeNiro circa 1976 mugging for the mirror while armed with artillery. How's that for a romantic Sunday evening?

OK, this Sunday might not be the most romantic of evenings, but future Sundays at the hotel could make for a nice dinner and movie date spot. Each month is a themed month. April's theme is the Big Apple. After Taxi Driver, next Sunday, April 26, is The Squid and the Whale. (Don't bring your parents!)

The complimentary films start at 6:30pm and dinner via the Church Lounge is available via a prix-fixe menu at a recessionary $30 a person. RSVP seats and make dinner reservations at 212.519.3565.
