Where to Get Your Pink and Drink On for Barbie's 50th Birthday

Hey! Did you know Barbie's turning 50 on Monday, March 9th? Sista is ascending from PYT-status to certified cougarhood — and if she were a real woman, we would strongly urge her to cease dressing like a 21-year-old. But she's not real and she remains eternally hot; her life in plastic remains fantastic. Thus, her birthday gives us an excuse to surround ourselves with pink and have a fat drink.

First up, Milwaukee's new boutique-chic Iron Horse Hotel is getting the ball rolling with a Barbie birthday celebration

On Monday, they're throwing a birthday party for the plastic hottie. If you bring a Barbie to the hotel's bar--Branded--you're entitled to drink specials and your very own pink boa. If you happen to be named some variation of "Barbara," you score yourself a free glass of Rose or sparkling wine. And if you really step it up and dress up like the Barbster herself, you get to enter a look-a-like contest to win a free night's stay at the hotel plus a $250 shopping spree at an upscale boutique.

If becoming Barbie without dressing like her is more your steeze, you may appreciate the Barbie-themed room at the Hilton Buenos Aires. This is primarily for the younger set (and by primarily we mean exclusively); guests in the Barbie room even arrive baller-style in a Barbie car and can opt to spend some time in the spa getting a Princess Makeover.

And finally, we cannot let any mention of pink-ness go by without giving love to the May Fair London's famous oh-so-pink Schiaparelli Suite. With a rate hovering near $5K per night, this is probs where Barbie would stay if she found herself a sugar daddy to take her traipsing around the world for her birthday celebration.
