Kimpton's Epic Hotel May Earn the All-Caps Name It Wants

Despite our distaste for the all-capital letters Kimpton's new Epic Hotel and Residence in Miami insists on using for its name (yes, EPIC, they shout), we were still pretty excited about its opening at the end of last year. Now that the Epic's been running almost three months, we decided to check in on guest feedback and find out if it deserves its all capitals.

And judging by more than a dozen TripAdvisor reviews from clearly satisfied guests, the Epic really might be EPIC. It's shot straight to #1 as the most popular hotel in Miami and we have to say, words like "beautiful," "elegant" and "exceptional" keep popping up.

There are too many reviews to say that the Epic's just got all its friends to write in; this place obviously fulfills expectations. Earlier on there were a couple of mentions of parts of the hotel not opened yet--these are all fully functioning now, so no drama--and recently, one complaint about staff being less attentive than they should be, although all the other commenters disagree. Rates start around the $300 mark which doesn't seem too steep for the obvious satisfaction. Our verdict here is all good.
