"I went to the Wynn and all I got was this stupid T-shirt." Without a doubt, this is being heard more often around Vegas as merrymakers head to the city of spending without as much cash. On our last excursion, we opted for a case of mints shaped like the hotel rather than an overpriced T-shirt.

So how will the glut of luxury shops at the Wynns in Las Vegas and Macau get through the bad economy? We're going to guess group therapy.

In the shops at the Wynn Las Vegas, not only will you find some of the luxury standards like Chanel, Dior, and Louis Vuitton, but they've got some rarer five-star specimens just asking to be hit by the recession. For example, blinged-out phone maker Vertu, diamond dealer Graff and red carpet maestro Oscar de la Renta all sit shoulder-to-shoulder in competition for your Wynn winnings.

The situation at the Macau Wynn is similar, although their shop roster is more impressive with the addition of Bulgari, Ermenegildo Zegna, Hermes, Tiffany & Co, Van Cleef and Arpels, Piaget and more. Altogether, that's a lot of diamonds and exotic skins for gathering dust.

Nonetheless, there is power in numbers and so as long as Vertu and Manolo Blahnik can keep up the fight and maintain all of their boutiques through the recession, both Wynns will remain shopping meccas for the few with deposits to drop. We just hope they don't touch the sundries section; we are really liking these mints.

Wynn Luxury Shops

That is an interesting thing to ask about the Wynn Hotel And Casino Las Vegas luxury shops. My opinion is the people who can afford luxury and afford to pay for luxury merchandise at this hotel are probably not as effected by the recession. Rich people create their own economy that they live in, rather than the economy everyone else is told that they are living. If you ask me the Wynn Hotel Casino Las Vegas is the perfect spot to target luxury buyers, and since the Wynn and Encore is considered the #1 five star resorts in the world, you get a lot of foreign tourists who travel there that have nothing to do with our economy.
