We have a soft spot for doggies. We have a major soft spot for hotel doggie mascots, those friendly, furry liaisons between pet-friendly hotels and your hotel-friendly pets.

So, some news on the Kimpton pet concierge front because, you know, you could use a little doggie love in your life today: The Hotel Burnham in Chicago has just appointed a brand new Director of Pet Relations. Behold, Dillon the dog.

In addition to greeting you with this beautiful, bulldoggy face upon your arrival, Dillon's responsibilities — which he mastered at his previous post at the Hotel Lumen in Dallas — go a little something like this:

As director of pet relations, Dillon will be responsible for ensuring the comfort of pet guests. His team will provide complimentary care packages upon check-in for each pet traveler, with goodies such as welcome treats and biodegradable waste bags, as well as food and water bowls and hypoallergenic pet beds.

If you want to go meet Dillon, rates at the Burnham start around $210.
