If you're reading this, then we think it's fair to assume that you like blogs, or at least don't mind them. And since you're reading about hotels, then perhaps it's safe to postulate that you may also have a thing for architecture, or maybe trendy interior design? If you're game for a little party involving all of these (blogs, hotels, architecture and design), then the Standard Downtown LA may just have you booked up next week.

From March 31 to April 4, The Standard will be hosting nightly architecture symposiums on their scene-y rooftop terrace. Bringing together a heap of architecture bloggers, critics, fans and the architects themselves, the event they're calling "Postopolis" is a great way to kick off the roofdeck season at The Standard. When blogs like City of Sound, ArchDaily, We Make Money Not Art, Curbed LA and BLDGBLOG aren't dishing over web 2.0 topics, expect insights from writers from Dwell, GOOD and the LA Times. These are the people to see if you've always dreamed of getting hammered and then discussing the finer points of contemporary hotel construction.

Best of all, Postopolis is FREE and open to the public each day, with The Standard graciously offering special nightly rates at even the very mention of the event. Book The Standard during these dates for $185 for a "Medium" room, $205 for a Large and $225 for a Double. Check out the full list of speakers and events here, and perhaps we'll see you around.
