Your Most 'Enchanting' Raffles Experience Could Earn You a Free Stay

March 25, 2009 at 9:58 AM | by Jenna | 0 Comments

Well, your mother was right: flattery always works. Raffles Hotels has launched a contest challenging former and future guests to recount or dream up their most "enchanting" Raffles experiences. The big prizes? Free stays!

If you think you can tell the best 100-word story of an experience that you've either had at a Raffles property or would love to have at a Raffles property, get in there and submit something.

Five winners will each get 2-night stays in a Raffles Suite at any Raffles hotel or resort you want, with "an endlessly enchanting experience created by our Raffles concierge." Also included is daily breakfast for two, a Raffles Amrita Spa Signature treatment or a gourmet dinner, and return airport transfers. One lucky winner will win the Grand Prize: a 5-night stay in a Presidential Suite at any Raffles hotel or resort, that "endlessly enchanting experience created by [the] Raffles concierge," daily breakfast for two, Raffles Amrita Spa Signature treatment or a gourmet dinner for two, and return airport transfers.

Submissions will be judged "based on the literary, informational and inspirational quality" of the writing. And if you, like some of us, miss the comforting presence of college-like breakdowns of the grading criteria, here it is:

1. Is the entry original, creative, well organized, and imaginative in subject and presentation? (30%)
2. Does the entry demonstrate the participant's understanding of the Raffles Brand or its properties? (30%)
3. Is the entry effective in communicating the significance of the topic? (20%)
4. Is the written material clear, grammatical, and correctly spelled? (20%)

The deadline for submissions is May 30, so put your thinking cap on and get to writing.
