If you've just debuted a $30 million spa in Florida in the heat of a recession, then you've got to be prepared to offer a little something for everyone. At Eau Spa in the Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach, their rainbow range of treatments for both men and women range from the opulent, like the $550 platinum facial, to the more budget-friendly $75 Do-It-Yourself Body Scrub Bar.

The one-of-a-kind Scrub & Polish Bar allows you to not only choose and combine from a variety of fresh body scrubs to suit your mood, but also gives you the freedom to hang out in the spa and its pools, scrubbing off the mucky-muck and emerging refreshed and prime for the Florida sun.

Keep any leftover scrub and remember that this is a DIY treatment (no tipping), and this least expensive Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach spa option seems like a plausible distraction if you spend at least half the day using the facilities to their fullest.

    Wait.

$75 for a DIY body scrub? That's a little much. Can that gentleman in the bathtub to the body scrubbing for me? I would pay $75 for that.

    Um

...typos, typos. Can the bathtub man DO* the body scrubbing for me. That's what I meant.

    I'll be curious...

...to see the Tripadvisor reactions to this. I've worked for both Ritz Carlton and for Steiner Leisure, which manages this spa. Both were very unpleasant experiences. Steiner's Elemis and Mandara spas have gotten some poor reviews so while this has the possibility of being spectacular, things could get ugly too.
