Now that you've seen the rooms, the pool and the spa inside the Viceroy Miami we'd like to tell you a little bit more about the nightlife and dining scene. For starters, guests and non-guests alike can use the restaurant on the 15th floor which is just called the Signature Restaurant.

We dined here for lunch and aside from being another pretty Kelly Wearstler space (with outdoor seating overlooking the pool area and Key Biscayne), the fare was delicious. Think refined hotel comfort food. For example we had the Viceroy's version of a turkey sandwich with gruyere cheese and pomme frites.

There are plans for an "acclaimed chef" to join the restaurant at which point we think a real name might be established. Until then, the place is serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Up at Club 50, guests can spend the day by the serene pool and take in the views of Key Biscayne. Drinks are served at the pool bar which has an incredible backdrop. If you are afraid of heights then you might just want to kick it inside the Club 50 lounge where:

From noon till the early hours, sushi, sashimi and Nuevo Latino small and raw plates balance [are served] with signature cocktails, small batch beers, and a curated selection of wine and sake.

Remember, this is a guests and residents only lounge so privacy is assured. And it too has been designed by Kelly Wearstler.

The only thing Ms. Wearstler did not touch were the two Icon Brickell towers. Instead Philippe Starck took charge of the interiors of the spa, the outside pool area and Cafe Icon, which is open all day for coffee, paninis and gelato as well as for some of the items found in the mini-bar. Towards the back is a little seating area with three flat-screen TVs hung on the wall where you can watch any channel your vacationing heart desires.

Or you could just order room service, which we did for breakfast during our stay. Everything was perfect. The croissants had that flaky perfection we love and the coffee was fresh. Plus, we had 800 of free satellite channels at our fingertips. You know, once we got the remote working.
