We Call The Window Seat in Costa Verde's 727 Fuselage Suite

Last week, we were a little skeptical about the monkeys on-site at the Costa Verde Hotel, largely because we're afraid they are going to ruin our pool time. But as we dug a little deeper on the Costa Verde website, we found this totally awesome hotel suite perfect for the LOST fan in you.

The hotel's 727 Fuselage Suite has been created from 1965 Boeing 727 fuselage, which previously belonged to South Africa Air and Avianca Airlines, to offer guests two-bedrooms, two private baths, a flat screen TV, a kitchenette, a dining area foyer, an ocean view terrace, a private entrance up a river rock, spiral staircase and 360 degrees of the surrounding gardens.

We salvaged this airframe, piece by piece, from its San Jose airport resting place. We carefully transported the pieces on five, big-rig trucks to the jungles of Manuel Antonio where they have been resurrected into a unique jumbo hotel suite. Our classic airplane, nestled on the edge of the National Park in our Costa Verde II area, is perched on a 50-foot pedestal. At this height, you will enjoy scenic ocean and jungle views from the hard wood deck built atop the plane's former right wing.

And the most joyous news ever about this 727 suite? Rates are cheaper than most air fares. From now through April 30, the suites costs $350 a night plus daily tax. From May to mid-November the rates drop to $300 a night plus daily tax. Best of all, there are no stupid extra fees for pillows, blankets, movies or to use the bathroom (ugh!) We're booking our ticket now!

    I really like the way they incorporated the fuselage here. It doesn't look like it crashed nor does it look precarious. I'd sleep in it.

    Fuselage Suite Really Nice.

    Very nice this is the second best place I've seen since charlisangels erotic vacations beach front resort. This is really nice.
